MINIATURE SHOW

Theme: Microcosm
Small worlds can hold vast stories. For this year’s annual miniature show, artists are invited to explore the intricate details of life, nature, and imagination within a tiny frame, 6x6 inches or smaller. From delicate landscapes to whimsical scenes, each piece invites viewers to discover an entire universe in miniature. Microcosm celebrates the beauty, complexity, and wonder that can exist in the smallest of spaces.

For Microcosm, the idea is to create a tiny world that feels complete and alive on a 6x6 inch (or smaller) canvas. You could paint a little forest with mushrooms and animals, a single tree on a hill, a tiny beach, or a cozy room with a view outside. Everyday scenes, whimsical ideas like floating islands or pocket universes in jars, or tiny cosmic worlds all work. Small creatures—ants, birds, or even mythical beings—can make your piece feel full of life. You can also play with abstract or hidden worlds inside objects or patterns. The key is to make the small canvas feel like a whole world.
