Radical Printmaking on Watercolors with D Valenzuela (Ages 9 to 15+)

Join D Valenzuela for a transformative 3-day course where you will explore the art of tile print carving on rubber. This hands-on workshop invites you to create your own stamp, which you will then use to make stunning radial prints.
Before diving into the stamping, participants will watercolor paint their paper, setting the stage for vibrant pops of color to complement the prints.
This project will challenge the students in a way that gets both of the sides of their brain firing when it comes to carving away the negative space of their stamp and then rotating the stamp to create their design.
At the end of the course, each participant will leave with their own colorful prints, their handmade stamp, and an ink pad—tools to inspire continued creativity beyond the classroom. Embrace the challenge and discover the joy of printmaking!
Please note: The last two days of the week, the campers will create fun and creative collages.
