Come join an immersive, hands-on range of creative experiences with a wide range of exploratory materials and fun lesson plans. A variety of themed projects - focused on investigating mediums like watercolor, acrylics, stamp printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and more! Unlike the school year, this summer camp week prioritizes self expression, skill-building, and fun over assessment. They will learn to foster confidence through individual and collaborative group brainstorming projects and culminating showcases, allowing themselves to explore creativity in a relaxed environment.
Ben lives in Manzanita and Portland Oregon. He is an Adjunct Professor for Clark College in Vancouver, Washington where I teach art classes on-line. Ben also teaches Printmaking at Clatsop Community College in Astoria and substitute teach in the Neahkahnie School District. Ben received a BFA in Printmaking from Temple University and an MFA in Studio Arts from Portland State University. Ben's past work as an illustrator are all monotypes hand colored with watercolors and gouache, and have been used by clients such as The Portland Tribune, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Oregonian, Johns Hopkins University, Willamette Week, Hewlett-Packard, and many others. I work primarily in drawing, painting, ceramics, and assemblages. Currently Ben shares a ceramics studio at Nehalem Bay Pottery. Ben's work is in numerous private and public collections and has shown at numerous places nationally, and international.
