Seascapes explores the ever-changing dialogue between land, sea, and sky, highlighting the seascape as both subject and experience. Shifting light, weather, and water become sources of constant movement and reflection as the exhibition brings together the distinct visions of Shirl Irland, Elizabeth Richardson-Isom, Todd Telander, Debra Albrecht, and Karen Gatens. From atmospheric horizons to dynamic coastal forms, each artist captures the quiet power of the sea in compelling ways.
In art the seascape continues to evolve as both a literal and symbolic space evoking memory, isolation, and change. It remains a powerful genre because the sea itself is never still and always open to interpretation.
