Orquidia Violeta is a Salvadoran-American textile artist known for her exuberant handmade clothing. Using vivid colors and contrasting textures, she creates inimitable wearable artwork. Orquidia uses reclaimed materials and sustainable practices out of respect for humanity and the Earth. The beauty and diversity of the natural world inspires Orquidia to make unique works for unique people.
Jessica Sund is a local textile artist who has been knitting for most of her life. Spinning her own yarn using natural fibers and synthetic dyes. Sund’s soft engineering results in a mass of colors and patterns that are often worked into wearable pieces.
Elizabeth Pattison creates highly sculptural and detailed art jewelry. Inspired by color patterns her work often incorporates colorful intricate beading. The end result being glimmering themes of fantasy and nature.
Yoshi Aoki captures the essence of nature in abstract ways. The mixed media artist uses metal, wood, ceramic and concrete to create core forms. Capturing a sense of duality somewhere between stillness and movement, these complex sculptures represent an equilibrium that can only be found in nature.
