Creative Reuse Art Projects with Loni Sanders (Ages 10–16+)
Students will gather plastic, shells, wood, and other beach materials to create mosaics and mixed-media collages. The week begins with a beach walk to collect materials, followed by studio work assembling artwork inspired by nature and creative reuse. Focus is on upcycling, imagination, and resourcefulness.
Permission slip required for beach outing.
Kawaii! Fun Japanese-Inspired Beach Crafts with Lori O’Neil (Ages 7–12)
Explore “kawaii” (cute) culture through origami, drawing, and air-dry clay miniatures. Students will design playful characters inspired by Cannon Beach—clams, waves, bunnies, ice cream, and more—then turn them into charms, magnets, jewelry, and decorations.
Intro to Watercolor with Tom Grogg (Grades 3–12)
A hands-on introduction to watercolor painting. Students will learn blending, brush techniques, and color mixing while creating their own expressive watercolor artworks. Perfect for beginners and developing artists alike.
Monster Makers: Found Materials Sculpture Workshop with John Crockett Person (Grades 2 and up)
Students create imaginative monsters using natural and recycled materials such as twigs, bark, wire, fabric, and found objects. A guided nature walk kicks off inspiration, followed by building unique sculptural creatures with storytelling and creative construction.
Painting Nature in Layers with Keri Domer (K–4th Grade)
Students explore multi-layer printmaking using gel plates, stencils, and brayers. Inspired by nature and storytelling, they build layered compositions on 12x12 boards, learning how artwork develops over time through experimentation.
Nature / Reclaimed Art Mixed Media with Miss Karen (Ages 7 and up)
Create mixed-media artwork using shells, driftwood, reclaimed wood, and everyday materials. Students explore texture, layering, and composition while working with paint, ink, glue, and found objects in a relaxed, hands-on environment.
AFTERNOON CLASSES

Jewelry Artistry: Exploring Different Materials with Karin Hermansen (Ages 9 and up)
Students design and create jewelry using beads, wire, fabric, yarn, and paper. Focus is on craftsmanship, design skills, and personal expression while exploring multiple jewelry-making techniques.
Blast of Color & Fun with Miss Karen (Ages 7–15+)
A high-energy mixed media class focused on bold color and creative expression. Students experiment with acrylics, watercolor, ink, resin, and more while learning process-based art-making and group creativity.
Drawing with Gelli Plates with Keri Domer (Grades 5–8)
Students create layered prints using Gelli plates and their own drawings. Finished work becomes vibrant, multi-layered compositions that highlight texture, color, and personal style.
Monster Makers: Found Materials Sculpture Workshop (Afternoon Session) (Grade 3 and up)
Repeat of the imaginative sculpture class using recycled and natural materials to build one-of-a-kind monster creations inspired by nature and storytelling
